I'm Just a Soul Whose Intentions Are Good...

Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood..... That song always get to me. Why is that? It is that type of song that is honest, sincere and is something that will have me crying for years. What happened to honesty and a lot of substance in songs these days? Artists like Nina Simone don't exist anymore. The ones who do still exist are part of a rare breed of complete pure and heartfelt musical genius. I'm talking about artist who express their most personal secrets and insecurities to relieve stress to their mind and soul. Artist like Kid Cudi, Norah Jones, Maxwell, and Band of Horses are just a few artists who sing songs that are meant to mean something or relate to the listener. There are many more artist who are like that and that's what makes their music distinctly beautiful. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood had been covered by a wide range of artists. Although it was first Nina Simone's song, I prefer the Animals version and Daryl Hall and Travis McCoy's version. It's a song that is honest and the lyrics are pefectly amazing. It was traveled through different genres of music and each one leaves me in awe...
